Trump warns Republicans will "remember" this impeachment process when a Democrat is president

Trump

President Trump lamented Democrats' push for impeachment in his first on-camera feedback since the House Judiciary Committee approved articles of impeachment Friday— abuse of electricity and obstruction of Congress — predicting that at some point there can be a Democratic president and a Republican House would "recall" what is occurring now. Mr. Trump made the remarks throughout a assembly with Paraguayan President Mario Abdo Benítez at the White House. "It's a scam, it's something that should not be allowed, and it's a completely bad aspect for our country, and you are trivializing impeachment," the president said within the Oval Office. "And I inform you what, a few day there will be a Democrat president and there could be a Republican House, and I suspect they may be going to bear in mind it." The president, speaking in the Oval Office, introduced that fundraising for Republicans has gone "via the roof" at some point of the impeachment system, calling the Democrats "disgusting." The president said Democrats have made "absolute fools of themselves," decrying the entire process as a "witch hunt" and a "sham."
